2014-d Sept 18-20, 3-day, Aquaponics Master Class
This is a comprehensive course covering all aspects of aquaponics and controlled environment agriculture. Our 3-day Aquaponics Master Class is intended for anyone seriously considering getting into aquaponic food production, or those already doing aquaponics who want to learn more about the technology. We cover the topics most important to being successful in aquaponics including aquaponic methods and applications, crop choices and recommendations, water quality, daily operation and growing techniques, greenhouses and environmental control, fish biology and feeds, plant care and health, system start up and business considerations.
In the Aquaponics Master Class, we don't waste your time with fluff or with inexperienced instructors. We have developed a comprehensive and cohesive curriculum. We share the most important tips and techniques for growing and we show you the path to success in aquaponics, all based on our 20 years’ experience in aquaponic food production.
This Aquaponics Master Class takes place at Nelson and Pade, Inc.'s facility in Montello, WI.
~~Special Annuoncement About the September, 2014 Aquaponics Master Class
To better serve our clients, Nelson and Pade, Inc.® has embarked on a major expansion of our facilities. Part of this process has included completely removing our long-standing 5,000 sq. ft. aquaponic greenhouse to make room for our new 14,000 sq. ft. controlled environment greenhouse. This facility will showcase one of our commercial Clear Flow Aquaponic Systems® with ZDEP™ as well as house the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Aquaponics Innovation Center. We are also building a new 6,000 sq. ft. building to provide us additional space for manufacturing our Clear Flow Aquaponic Systems®.
The September Master Class will be the first opportunity for guests to see and spend time in the new greenhouse! Please keep in mind, though, there is always the possibility for construction delays due to weather and other circumstance outside of our control. Therefore, there is a possibility that the greenhouse won’t be completely finished or that the new commercial system will not be fully stocked with fish or planted. And, it is likely that there will still be some construction equipment on our property and projects still happening through the end of September.
We will be holding the Master Class either way, because seeing the start-up and construction phase of a large commercial aquaponic greenhouse and system is a learning experience in itself. And, all Master Class course content will be covered, as normal. Plus, we have already completed construction of our brand new hobby greenhouse which houses our Family Plus and F5 systems, which are operational, stocked with fish and will be fully planted in August. We assure you, the September Master Class will be an excellent learning experience.
If, however, seeing the commercial system fully stocked and planted is essential to your experience, then we suggest that you attend a Master Class at a later date.
